WEBINAR DETAILS
Strong credit analysis does not end when a loan is
approved. Credit analysts must be able to recognize changing risk, determine
how borrower or market conditions could affect repayment, and recommend
appropriate action before weaknesses become serious problems.
This webinar will provide a practical framework for
identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk in commercial loans. Participants
will learn how to recognize warning signs in borrower financial performance,
cash flow, operations, and collateral. The program will examine concerns such
as declining debt-service coverage, inconsistent revenue, shrinking margins,
increasing leverage, collateral shortfalls, outdated or unsupported valuations,
and other indicators of emerging credit deterioration.
Participants will also learn how to conduct basic
stress tests and scenario analyses involving interest-rate increases, revenue
declines, expense increases, commodity-price changes, and higher vacancy rates.
The program will demonstrate how analysts can translate stress-test results
into stronger monitoring requirements, loan structures, covenants, collateral
controls, and recommendations to lenders and loan committees.
Throughout the session, the emphasis will be on helping developing analysts move beyond simply reporting financial results. Participants will learn to explain what the identified risks mean, how significant those risks may be, and what the financial institution can do to reduce or manage its exposure.
